Ape-Hunt With Brass Band

Visitors donated 300.000 Euro for the new enclosure for Japan Macaques at the Tierpark Friedrichsfelde, which was inaugurated recently. Barbary Apes moved into the Japan Macaques' old enclosure, but the electrical fence was no barrier to them, so during the party the zoo veterinarian and other zoo staff had to catch them with the help of local firemen to the sounds of the brass band. The Monkeys were all found, now they are grounded until a new fence is built.

Baxter finances "Chimpanzee-Retirement"

The pharmaceutical company Baxter is going to pay 19.000 Euro monthly to support the Ape House at the safari park Gänserndorf, which the company had funded.
